Trap Shooting Basics Class

The LJRC Board of Directors is prepared to offer a "Trap Shooting Basics" session, monthly if there is enough demand.

If you haven't tried trap shooting you are missing out on one of the most exciting areas of the Club!  The Board of Directors would like to begin hosting an introductory level session to work with members on the fundamental and basics of trap shooting.  Our plan is to pick an evening or weekend day where five to ten people can get more comfortable tracking and hitting clay targets.  Sessions would be about an hour followed by an hour of regular round trap shooting if participants are interested.  All that is needed is a shotgun and several boxes of shells!

If you are interested in a "Trap Shooting Basics" session please contact Board member Carl Otteman for details.

Speaking of Trap Shooting....

If you have not been by the Club recently you may not be aware of some improvements.  The Skeet and Trap courses have been separated by a barrier wall which creates a safer environment for our members.  The La Junta Rifle Club web site was recently updated with pictures from the construction of the project.

Make sure to visit the web site periodically for updates to other projects that recently been completed and/or are in the works!
